most current business card for my own work
My favorite custom designs for businesses have been when someone comes to me tabula rasa, without an image or vision though with goals and intellectual concepts of what they would like to accomplish and include. This was for a Person who started his own cafe, a collector of African Art, and was able to describe what he wanted it to be like. He said this captured his concept and gave it attitude.
To use the circle of fifths, was one of her requirements of many. Many people come with several ideas of what they want, and to organize that into 2 1/2 “ is a fun challenge for an artist who loves the play of forms in space; turning thoughts into images is a condensation process, an art in itself.
Did this business card about ten years ago when using the Elemental Tarot Deck, it was a winner business card that people always take notice to this day. I like how it demystified Tarot and took the edge off it, that it sometimes has, and was a more playful, circus approach. Still use this card and also works as a large sign. Often my business cards are enlarged and used for shop signs as well.
Underneath wasan early business card for orbart studios in 92 when i got my first mac. Will start looking for some of those Logos from my Chicago Department of Tourism and Medical Illustration days. There are many and some very good examples of what i call LOGOSMITHING, a nice word for a card maker.

September 3, 2008
The highlight every day near dusk is the hike in the mountains with my dog. Living in Chicago was a different dog walk, that of finding and acquiring objects. Here, no such thing, one finds intangible spiritual groove, with mind of its own. In New Mexico, the landscape has so many expressions and would like to do a few paintings of what i find walking in the mountains. The landscape and the space is heavenly. Think will be forever in the stage of chasing landscapes with my new digital camera. It happened here in an emergency, that i had to sell all my good Cannon camera equipment, and was without for the past 4 years. It is such a joy to be with camera again! This summer i became a storm chaser experimenting with landscape, the camera is impressive.
